Whenever Chris and I were in Masters Commission, our team traveled all over the South. We did travel a few times up north and once out west, but for the most part we were in the South. I remember being able to work our table when we would travel, we sold T-Shirts and I always liked doing that! We had a really awesome Pop up trade show display that came in my second year. We would set that up in no time flat and have a nice display that would draw more attention than a t-shirt table! It was cool because it would all pack up into a tube and we could take that anywhere- even on the airplane! I miss those days of traveling! I am thankful that I have tons of photos to mark all the places that I've gone. I hope my kids get to travel too before they become adults and have to settle down into a job and pay bills! I would love to see Maine and Washington, I've been to Florida and California, so I've seen the bottom parts of the USA, just need to see the top corners! I also want to travel to Canada! Some friends of ours just came back from there and I was drooling over their pictures! I have it on my bucket list to go! I better get my passports ready for my family!

Traveling...
Drug Addiction
Anytime a family member is prescribed an opiate drug for pain it makes me nervous. You hear horror stories of people becoming addicted to these types of pills to manage their pain. You can't blame them for needing it to live in comfort, but the addiction is bad once it takes over. I'm sure you would require a detox, like the opiate detox treatment in Malibu. What I like is that they offer a residential setting. Most people take these types of medicine for pain management. So they would need help dealing with the pain once the drugs are out of their system. It's good to know there are place out there for people, I just pray we never have to use them. If you know someone who is addicted to pain medicine, try your best to offer to HELP them!

Saying Goodbye...
Adam was a part of our youth group in Texas. He passed away on Sunday morning. He was only 22 years old. He had back surgery last Wednesday and left the hospital on Saturday night and passed in his sleep. We found out through a message on facebook, it was just a possibility, so I spent the next 45 minutes trying to confirm the bad news. We were in shock. Adam had such a huge heart. I've looked through all my pictures from the youth group, and just had some great memories of all our students. Adam was always honest and true. He spoke his mind, and wore his feelings on his sleeves. I loved it though because you never had to worry about what he "thought!" He would just tell you! Chris will be speaking at the funeral. I am sad that I can't be there to love on his family and all our students from the youth group! I don't have a way to get all my kids to school and take care of the youth group here. Plus Chloe has her play on Friday. Life has changed a lot since our kids started school. Please pray for Chris as he travels for the funeral. Adam helped me in Kids Zone in Texas. He was great with the pig puppet. LOL. He always had the kids laughing! I'm still in shock that he is gone... pray for his mother Val, she needs the Lord to help her just hold her head up!

Honeymoon Laughs
The other day my husband and I were talking with our nephew about ice skating and skiing. He and his lovely girlfriend had gone skating for the first time. They are both adults, but have grown up on the Mississippi gulf coast, just like my honey! So it's not that rare that they've never gone skiing or skating. Worse than that- our nephew is 21 and has never seen snow! Crazy I know. I grew up in North Carolina, where we had a blizzard now and again and it snowed every winter and we had ice every month from December through March. When we were planning our wedding, my sweet step grandmother gifted us her week at a resort through her timeshare! We were so blessed not to have to pay for our honeymoon! We had a week in the mountain of Virginia. We went night skiing the 2nd day we were there. My husband had never been on skis, so I was nervous. I had double checked with my life insurance agent that our insurance was in fact in tact before he clicked on those skis! We went up the mountain and I explained to my honey how to slow down, but didn't have him much advice before he took off down the mountian. I forgot to remind him to work the mountain back and forth, not just go straight down. Oops. So you can imagine what happens next, he flies down the mountain screaming MOVE! MOVE! And they all did- He didn't know how to stop either- so he just decied to use the tuck and roll method. It worked, and thankfully he didn't run into anybody or any ski racks! He found a nice pile of snow to fall into. The next day we spent our day coming down the mountain- but not on ski's, this time we were tubing. It was so fun. I had never gone before, that was new to me. They didn't have those types of places when I was growing up. We would sled down the hills and roads near our house- but never tube down them! I loved it. I felt it was much safer! I will say that, Chris had a rough start on ski's, but only that first run. The next several hours and times we went skiing he did perfectly fine. I had been skiing since I was five years old, and he looked like he had been too! I loved our honeymoon. We spent a lot of time cuddled up in our nice villa. We went out to eat at several nice places and got to see fresh snow fall. It was magical! Just talking about it now, makes me want to go back again! Maybe we need to plan our anniversary trip up there! We could go after Christmas and celebrate our anniversary early... I wonder if we could get the same villa! That would be amazing!

Eye Lash
I just finished applying all my make up and the last thing I do is put on my mascara. I have never had great lashes. I just started wearing mascara a couple years ago. I now don't like to go without it. I've considered using eyelash growth products, but haven't taken time to go online and search eyelash growth products reviews. I am a fan of natural lashes, but I want them to be seen! I don't like the big SPIDER lashes as I call them. My lashes are Blondie in color so they don't show up very well- without color on them. I have small eyes too! So that is a double strike! I am thankful for my new mascara that helps me feel better about my eyes! What is your favorite mascara?

Dazzle Me!
With Christmas and my eleventh anniversary around the corner, I can't help but wonder what my sweet husband will choose to dazzle me with! I know that during this time of the year you can find great deals on diamond necklaces, pearls and other jewelry related items. It's a great time to purchase these types of items because the seller knows they have competition! So the deals are out there you just have to find them! A lot of years we don't exchange any kind of gifts for each other. We some times have just a little extra cash and will set a limit as to how much we can spend. We've always been careful not to spend to much during the holidays, and now that we have kids its especially important that they learn that it's better to give than receive! So we start teaching that from the start! Though we all enjoy nice things- I wouldn't be too upset if my honey bought me a new lens this Christmas! What is on your list this year?
