Attached
Ever know someone who is attached to their hair? I know we are all “attached” to a certain degree, unless you wear a wig! Even then you feel attached. I just don’t understand why some people especially in their late 30’s early 40’s who are stuck in the late 80’s or early 90’s with their hair! They are beautiful people, they just need a makeover on their HAIR-DO! How do you suggest it to someone? I bet people who do hair really notice these things and want to grab them knock them out and fix their hair before they wake up! I am always aware of my hair and wanting to do something new. I’m there now. I want to go shorter I think…. I can’t do much with it right now. Just time for a change!

SHROOMS! I promise!
Okay so we went to the park the other day to ride bikes and play basketball and forgot the ball, so we just rode bikes then walked around for a little. We came across these mushrooms… They were like this I promise. They were untouched, growing together. I got a good laugh out of them!
This one was cool because it was like a golf ball on a tee…
Most of them were like this, flat pancake like shrooms.

Reading…
I have a few novels in my collection, but they are few and far between. I mostly have self-help type books. I know that many of my friends say that whey they read they feel like they are being taken to that place in the book. I’ve never felt that. The few books that I did love that were novels, I felt more like I was reading the diary or journal of a lady and I found pleasure in knowing her story. I enjoy finding a book that grabs ahold of me and won’t let me put it down until it’s finished. I am overdue for a good one like that! Any suggesting? Maybe I should pick up THE HELP. I wanted to see the movie, but I don’t want to go alone and don’t have anyone that would go with me, so I will wait for it on Redbox. I guess I need to go to the local library and see what they have. It’s been a while since I even took the kids there. Maybe the boys would like that on Tuesday as our adventure time! I also need to go to Slidell, so who knows! So what are you reading right now? Or what is one of your all time favorites?

Saturday/Sunday fun
These are in my mother in law’s yard. She said they call them Naked Ladies. They are like a spider lily. I liked the way they look. She dug one up for me to bring home to plant.
This is Dixie, she was at the birthday party that we went to on Sunday!
Creepy Shell from a bug. I almost put my hand on this booger and said OOOH I need to take a photo! It was still stuck on the tree- probably just left its shell that day or the night before.
Saturday we went to meet Bob & Larry at Lifeway! My sweet friend Ayrika was there- she actually was BOB for the day! She is moving to South Africa next month- so I hope to see her a few more times before then! She was in our youth group back 11/12 years ago. She is a jewel.
Me with the Veggietale Stars!
Yummy cupcakes at the veggietale party!

Tech Girl
Our Church
1. It's not handicap accessible.
2. It's not where you can check on the room before you go in. You have to know where to go, you won't just find it.
3. It's hot up there! the A/c struggles to cool and we have zero lights that work without giving off more heat!
4. There are no windows so it's dark and not friendly to guest.
5. The floors are thin- meaning if you are walking around in the youth room you hear everything down below, sounds like animals running!
We would love to have a big open space to hang out and a cafe type area, then have a smaller room for youth and worship and prayer. I hope we see it come into place in our time while we are there. We don't plan on going anywhere but you never know what God has in store!

Good-Bye Lee!
Tropical Storm Lee seems to have left the coast! We had blue skies today! Of course after this photo was taken it rained off and on for the next 5 hours! The wind was strong today, but it was drying up the land! I love that! God is so amazing.
We had to drive to Gulfport today to drop off some donations for a benefit yard sale, and so Chris and I went on a date while we were there! Thanks to Linda for keeping the kids!
We also went to Lifeway and Sam’s club! It was a great afternoon!
We got home around 6 pm and worked in the garage some. I found this snake skin in the storage barn out back. I was looking for a blanket for Jack’s bedset and ran across this little guy. Freaked me out! So I took a picture! LOL.
Chris was entertaining the kids by showing off his mad juggling skills- or lack there of.
So when the juggling didn’t work out as expected, he threw tungs into the power pole in hopes to split them. He was not successful except with one! Don’t know what TUNG is? Don’t worry I didn’t either I had to google it. I googled TUNG orchid tree and found the answer. We had no idea what these where growing in our front yard!
Jack was blessed with some cool toys from a church friend. And some nice clothes and shoes too! I love it when God blesses our family with stuff that we wouldn’t normally buy! He cares about even the SMALL stuff in our lives! Here is a BIG monster truck that he got from his friend. It is super cool. ![]()
I refilled the hummingbird feeders and guess who came to visit! I have TWO Hummers! I’m excited. I wanted two more feeders! I guess Tropical Storm Lee brought them in! My mother in law said she had several at her house too!
I cooked some fresh pears in caramel sauce tonight for snack. I’ve never been a big fan of pears, but we had a couple in our church give us TONS of them! So I cam coming up with ways to cook them! These were yum!
My newest book. Just came in the mail on Friday. Haven’t even read the first page. I plan on taking a long hot bath after this blog post and diving into this book. I heard the authors talk about it on the radio and ordered it!
I also have 4 movies to watch! They all belong to a girl at our church, she is lending them to me. I have seen facing the giants but its been many years ago, and I don’t remember much about it!
Today at lifeway I bought a skit book, I’m excited about doing a few skits between now and Christmas! I am hoping that I can memorize the lines! They are only 2 person skits so that is good. It’s pretty easy to get two people to commit. Chris is preaching in October on the first Sunday, so maybe we will do one then!
Well its time for me to soak and read! Thanks to all those who still check in!

youth & TW LEE
Thursday are the new Wednesdays. We like meeting on Thursday night for youth. Yes it added another night to our week, but it works out so much better. We can be loud and goofy! Here are some pictures from a game we played
And we don’t have to watch the clock for worship! They can play loud and long!
Tropical Storm Lee is at work. We have tornados in the area tonight. Thus the reason why I’m awake! Here is a branch that fell on my gutter… we hope this is the worst of it! So thankful it’s not a hurricane!
